Canadian Aviatrix #16 – Grace Thomson

On 22 January 1930, Mrs Grace L Thomson passed her flying test and received PPL #500, making her the 16th female pilot in Canada. She was the first woman member of the Fort William Aero Club.

And that’s it! Unfortunately, that’s all we know about Grace for now. I have a few irons in the fire, research-wise, so I hope to come back to update this page soon.

Note: Grace was listed with an asterisk in No Place for a Lady – meaning the author hadn’t been able to find her. I just had “G. Thomson (Mrs)” and the date of her PPL.
