For my sixth year of #100DaysProjectScotland, my project was drawing whatever I fancy, but on shrink plastic, so transforming them into something tangible. And I wanted to be pretty selfish with my choices, so there were some niche references!
In 1986, Vancouver celebrated the city’s 100th birthday by installing 100 plaques around the city. For my fifth year of #100DaysProjectScotland, my goal was to find all of them – creating a little guidebook to the city’s history. However, family circumstances stopped the project after 30 days.
For my second year of #100DaysProjectScotland, I decided to make an illustrated family tree. I’ve been dabbling in genealogy for years, but scrapped everything and started from scratch again at the beginning of 2021. I now have seven almost complete generations with pretty solid sources and wanted to use the 100 days to pull everything together into one place.
For my second Inktober, I decided to take the official prompts and turn them into causes of death. I’m a huge fan of Edward Gorey, especially The Gashlycrumb Tinies, and I thought it would be fun to kill off a bunch of curious children.
My daughter is a huge fan of Sesame Street and I wanted to get her the portrait that hangs in Bert and Ernie's apartment. I couldn't find one anywhere, so I decided to make it myself!
