100 Vancouver Plaques (for 100DaysProjectScotland 2024)
In 1986, Vancouver celebrated the city’s 100th birthday by installing 100 plaques around the city. For my fifth year of #100DaysProjectScotland, my goal was to find all of them, write up a little bit about the topic commemorated, and draw something too – creating a little guidebook to the city’s history (or at least, a snapshot of what they thought was important in 1986).

The project started on June 1, but I only posted thirty plaques before having to pause. My mum died and I travelled back to Scotland for her last few days.
I found it incredibly difficult to restart the project, but I still want to share the information, even if I don’t have all the nice little drawings done.
You can find the revamped project here – https://randomlygenerated.ca/blogs/vancouver-s-100-centennial-plaques/the-list
You can still see the original drawings on my Instagram page – https://www.instagram.com/randomlygen/ and these are the remaining ones I didn't post:
