John Macdonald (1886-1915)

John Macdonald was born on 5 August 1886 in Kirkmichael, Perthshire, Scotland.

He enlisted on 20 September 1916 and served as a private with the 5th Battalion.

John “died of wounds in the field” at Ypres on 27 April 1915, aged 28.

Unfortunately, I haven’t been able to narrow down my search, so I don’t have any more confirmed  information about John. His next-of-kin was given as a Mrs Jackson of Montreal, with no relationship stated.
