"THE FIRST MAIL DELIVERY

Vancouver's postmaster, Jonathan Miller, hired four mail carriers to commence delivery in the city. Citizens were instructed regarding proper numbering and service began February 1, 1895, from the main post office at the N.W. corner of Granville and Pender."
