“VAN DUSEN GARDENS

Part of the Canadian Pacific Railway Grant in 1884, this area was leased in 1911 for 49 years and developed as the Shaughnessy Heights Golf Course. Subdivision plans in 1960 aroused citizen groups, resulting in the preservation of 55 acres for open space.”
