“PIONEER BUSINESSES

Jones Tent & Awning, dating from 1887, first made sails, then supplied Klondike gold rushers, and even outfitted allied troops. Charles Woodward opened his innovative department store in 1892. Selling English clothing for gentlemen, Edward Chapman began his business in 1890. All three enterprises are active today.”
