“FIRST LABOUR TEMPLE
In 1899 the Vancouver Trades and Labour Council purchased the former Homer Street Methodist Church and converted it into Vancouver's first “Labour Temple”. In 1910 the wooden structure was replaced by the present building. It housed various labour organizations and newspapers.”
