Illustration

I’ve always doodled, but hadn’t done any proper drawing since my standard grade art class back at school. After having my daughter, reading all my favourite kids books to her made me realize how much I love illustration and I wanted to try it properly.

I’ve taken a couple of Continuing Studies courses at Emily Carr University of Art and Design and LOVED them. I also did Christine Nishiyama’s online Sketchbook to Style course and can highly recommend it.

I’m just exploring at the moment, but I like giving myself projects to complete. Like my block of Gastown buildings or my alphabet of food from Arrested Development (for Inktober 2019) or even my version of Bert and Ernie’s portrait!
